You know what I hate? Waiting. I have zero patience. We are sitting at middle school waiting for the fireworks to start. Unfortunately we still have at least an hour to go. Le sigh.

Thankfully there is a little playground at the school and Caitlin has some kids to play with.

Meh
It's so easy to fall out of the habit of posting. I do read everyday though, at least. I really should put forth a real effort to post though.

Tomorrow.

I know I need to post Disney pictures, which will hopefully come in the next few days. But in the meantime, I was just reading FB before bed and a friend of mine shared a "Fifty Shades of Grey" photo. (those people obsessed with that trilogy scare me. Seriously.) Someone commented on the photo: These books are life changing..please tell me there will be more...they are my absolute sanctuary in this day to day grind i call life...and Christian is the ultimate man! Thanks for these belicious books~cant wait for more;) Life changing? LIFE. CHANGING?!!!???!!! Please god, please let her be like 15 years old. I refuse to believe an adult would think those crappy books are life changing. And yes, I read them to see what the hype is. I'm still not sure why people are crazy over them.

Today was a day of rest. Kevin's brother Joe and his wife Caryn live in Stewart Fl and the drive up to see us today. We decided to head to Celebration Fl for a few hours. We really had a nice time. We ate a great lunch and while walking around discovered "Shannon's Irish Pub" which was awesome!

When we came back we had an hour or so at the community pool before the heavens opened again. I'm really sick of all this rain!! Hopefully tomorrow is better weather!

Today we spent 12 hours in the Magic Kingdom. Cate had her makeover at the Bippity Boppity Boutique at 11:20, and by noon she was transformed in to Rapunzal. They really do a fantastic job of making each girl (or boy) feel like a princess ( or knight) it was worth every penny to see how much fun Cate had.

After the makeover and Royal photo session, we had lunch in Cinderella's Castle. It was fabulous! As soon as you enter the restaurant you have a phot taken with Cinderella, and oh my goodness was my little girl excited! The look on her face was priceless. Then we went upstairs where I was greeted as "m'lady". I lived that. We had a great meal and Caitlin met Jasmine, Aurora, Belle and Ariel. They went to every table and signed autographs and posed for pictures. It was really fantastic, I highly recommend it.

After lunch we waited for an hour to finaleet Rapunzal. She was my favorite Princess by far- she was do sweet and spent several minutes with ever girl. I even had my picture taken with her!

After that the heaven opened and it rained the rest of the night. We spent our time in all the indoor rides, got wet, fought with ponchos, and had a blast. I cant wait until tomorrow!!

We spent today at Hollywood studios, which is not my favorite park. We met up with our friends and hung out. First up was Rockin Rollercoaster, which was awesome! I freakin love coasters that loop. We hit a few shows for the girls as well. Caitlin loved the Disney Junior show, and was singing and dancing along. Her other favorite was the Little Mermaid show. This is going to sound so cheesy, but I got a little teary when I saw the huge smile she had on her face. I was so filled with joy watching how much fun she was having.
We are back at the house we rented to take a breather and eat dinner, then it's back out there for the Fantasmic light show tonight.
And for the record, it's fucking HOT here!

Months ago I signed Kevin and I up to run the Easter party at Cate's pre-school. We have never done anything like this before, so after my inital freak out (zomg what do we do?!??) I realized these kids are 3 yrs old, all they care about is food and a craft. I have the craft part down (thank you Oriental Trading Co) but the snack part is freaking me out.

I know I have some extremely creative ladies on my FL, so I am begging you for suggestions for a simple snack I can prepare and bring for about 12 pre-schoolers and a few adults. Bonus points if it's Easter themed!

One thing that I hate about my personality is how agonizingly hard it is to make a decision about things. I seriously make a HUGE deal out of picking things out. My god, I drive myself insane...I can only imagine what I do to other people.

For example, we are int he middle of redoing a few things in our kitchen. We have a new counterop and floor, and I am trying to pick out a smallish kitchen island to provide additional storage and counterspace. I also refuse to spend more than $500, which means I have to buy it online and someone (read: Kevin) has to assemble it. I am not willing to invest a lot of money in something that we may not need in 2 years when we move.

So anyway, this quest to find a kitchen island is getting ridiculous. Seriously, I can't even decide what color to get! I was dead certain I wanted white to match our cabinets, but lately I've been looking at black to match our appliances and a few accent pieces we have. Originally I only wanted something without wheels, now I'm considering wheels. One thing that has remained constant is I want a granite top for durability. The faux butcher block is not working for me (especially since we just got rid of faux wood counters!) and I fear just a plain top will scratch easily. (ditto a stainless top)

I really just want to make a decision and the the thing installed so I can put my kitchen together.

I went through 33 out of my 34 years on this earth thinking I hated meatloaf. Turns out, it was just my mom's meatloaf that I didn't like. Sorry Mom, you were a great cook in many ways but your meatloaf kinda sucked.

It was only this year that I discovered how incredibly delicious meatloaf can really be! I use a recipe from Ina Garten for a turkey meatloaf that is so yummy I crave it. I make a huge batch so I can freeze the leftovers, which I am currently enjoying.

Mmmmmm!

But my basement smells. In the past half hour or so I started smelling this faint odor that I can't even describe. Maybe close to cooked onions that have been sitting around? I decided to put a few toys in the basement and the smell hit me. It's definitely NOT sewer gas, that I know.

I'm kinda freaking out, I don't know what the smell is or where it's coming from and OF COURSE Kevin is working OT tonight and won't get home until 11:30.
